Our event schedule stayed hot as the weather cooled in October. We engaged with amazing organizations in Boston and beyond to raise funds, amplify awareness, and celebrate our communities. Let’s look back at the events we produced this month.
Empowering Women for 47 Years
On October 7 we worked alongside our presenting sponsor REI to put on yet another successful Boston 10K for Women. Race day was brimming with excitement as thousands of passionate women came together to run faster and farther than ever. We’re already looking forward to the 48th edition next October and hope to see you there!
Setting the Table
We were behind the scenes at five fundraising dinners this month. First up was our co-production of SPARK! for YMCA of Greater Boston for supporters and families who raised a glass in one hand and a donation paddle in the other on October 5. That same night we called the shots at the Boston Municipal Research Bureau’s Shattuck Awards, honoring extraordinary individuals dedicated to public service. On October 26, the Adopt-A-Student Foundation Gala helped fund student tuition at Boston’s Cathedral High School, while across town The New England Council’s 2023 Annual Celebration honored the New Englanders of the Year. The next day, the Boston Irish Honors Awards Luncheon celebrated the heritage of Boston’s Irish residents and their families.
Trade Show Time!
We organized the Planetree Conference from October 8 to 11. Dedicated professionals from around the world shared their united purpose of humanizing the healthcare experience for those who give and receive care with informative presentations. Later in the month, we plugged in at the National Grid 2023 Energy Solutions Summit on October 26. The event engaged guests with informative keynote speakers, a networking expo, and more on energy efficiency lessons and tips.
Fundraise, Advocate, Walk
We kicked off the month at Carson Beach for the Strides for Action walk/fun run on October 1, where guests raised funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS research and care. On October 15, the Autism Speaks Walk raised awareness for families living with autism with three laps around Boston Common. We once again joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for Light the Night for walks in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Boston to raise funds and awareness for blood cancer patients and research. We closed the month where it began and returned to Carson Beach for the Brain Tumor Society Walk on October 22, helping to raise awareness and funds for those affected by brain tumors.
