It might be the season of ghouls, ghosts, and goblins, but our event schedule was more alive than ever this past October! We teamed up with amazing organizations in Boston and beyond to fundraise for great causes, amplify awareness, and celebrate the best in our communities. Let’s look back at the events we produced in October.
Boston 10K for Women™
On October 12, nearly 5,000 registrants returned to Boston Common for the 48th running of the Boston 10K for Women, New England’s largest and most historic all-women’s sporting event! Runners of all ages enjoyed free pre-race warm-ups, our outdoor expo, and our fast course on a beautiful fall day. After 6.2 miles of fierce competition, 2022 champion Erika Kemp returned to the top of the podium for her second Boston 10K for Women title with a time of 31:48. We were glad to once again plan and host this event, and add more to its historic legacy. See you again next year!
National Grid
Conventures returned to Foxborough, MA on October 24 for the 2024 National Grid Energy Solutions Summit! Hosted at Gillette Stadium, the conference reached record attendance as National Grid developers, partners, customers, and vendors gathered to learn more about the future of energy efficiency. We managed every element of the conference and expo, and helped ensure that attendees from across Massachusetts enjoyed their time at the event.
Galas Galore
We took charge of a variety of galas throughout the month of October to create fabulous events for local organizations. Conventures welcomed local families, community partners, supporters, and community leaders at YMCA Spark!, and we celebrated healthcare heroes at the Massachusetts Health Council Annual Awards. We also honored other exemplary individuals at the Henry L. Shattuck Public Service Awards and the Boston Irish Honors Luncheon.

Fundraise, Advocate, Walk
We kicked off the first Saturday of the month in Watertown, MA for the Everybody In! Walk/Move for Perkins, a fun walk/run that supports children with disabilities and their families. On October 13, we helped produce the Autism Speaks Walk, and managed event details and logistics to raise funds for research, advocacy, and critical programs and services. We once again joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for Light the Night Boston to raise awareness for blood cancer patients. And we returned to Carson Beach on October 20 to manage the Brain Tumor Society Walk, helping make the future brighter for those living with brain tumors.

October by the Numbers
In total, seven galas, five walks, four placemaking activations, and one corporate conference included things like 4,200 finisher medals and three laurel wreaths. One of the busiest months of the year, October had 25 events!
