We are off and running into 2024. As we have for the past nine years, we rang in the New Year with First Night Boston. What a celebration it was! We spent most of Janaury planning ahead for more than 100 events, large and small, that will fill our calendar this year. We hope to see you out here. Let’s look back at the events that got 2024 started.
3, 2, 1, Happy New Year!
We went “All Night Longer” right into 2024 at First Night Boston on Sunday, December 31! We had a blast planning and producing New England’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration. We held dozens of exciting performances for thousands of attendees including our headlining performance from hip hop artist Sammy Adams. This year, we made it all happen on City Hall Plaza and the surrounding downtown area. The day was filled with family-friendly events across Boston’s downtown that capped off with midnight Fireworks above Boston Inner Harbor.
Making History in Southbridge
Our team traveled to Southbridge to celebrate a historical landmark in the town’s heart. Known as “the Eye of the Commonwealth”, Southbridge was once home to several eyewear manufacturing companies, the largest of which was American Optical. Located within the 150-acre campus of what is now the Southbridge Innovation Center, the American Optical Company was a hub for innovative advances in eyewear that improved eyesight worldwide.
This history helped the complex recently receive designation upon the National Register of Historic Places, which is the official list of the Nation’s historic places worthy of preservation. On January 25, we managed the commemorative ceremony and speaking program followed by a plaque unveiling and reception. Joining us was Representative Richard Neal, Chip Norton, the owner of the property, and many others.

Fundraising and Celebrating
We were at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport on Thursday, January 25 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston’s Annual Dinner. We managed registration for the organization’s largest corporate fundraising event of the year, celebrating the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston’s mission and its ongoing impactful work for young people. More than 1,000 guests attended the event.

We returned to the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport the following day on Friday, January 26 for the Pinnacle Awards, hosted by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Our team managed registration to assist nearly 1,000 guests in celebrating the powerful women who are enhancing the quality of life in Greater Boston.
