As we wave goodbye to the first month of summer, let’s reflect on the races, galas, and unforgettable experiences that our team helped produce. Let’s hop in!

Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center Lantern Festival Gala

On June 4, we helped the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center fundraise for Asian and immigrant families by managing the Lantern Festival Gala. The gala supports BCNC’s efforts to strengthen families, prepare immigrants for the workforce, and provide high-quality childcare. This event included a tour of Chinatown, cultural performances, and a delicious 10-course Chinese banquet.

Gala on The Greenway and Glow in the Park

On June 6, hundreds gathered at the Rose Kennedy Greenway’s Rings Fountain to connect with friends and colleagues while raising funds for The Greenway Conservancy. Guests enjoyed cocktails, delicious dishes, and music while admiring The Greenway. All funds will help connect people through nature, public art, and community-led programming in sustainable ways. The following night, June 7, young professionals lit up the night while networking and enjoying music, games, drinks, food trucks, and more! Conventures was thrilled to manage the set-up and breakdown of all equipment as well as guest registration for this spectacular event.

Boston Theater Company Road of Rainbows Pride 5K

The fourth annual running of Boston Theater Company’s Road of Rainbows Pride 5K brought a colorful sea of runners on June 8 in Boston Common. We were thrilled to help plan and produce this amazing event that welcomes the LGBTQ+ community and allies. The event united more than 1,000 registrants and their fans for a day of competition and celebration in the heart of Pride Month.

Adopt-A-Student Foundation Golf Tournament

On June 10, fundraisers brought their A-game to the 23rd annual Adopt-A-Student Foundation Golf Tournament at the Salem Country Club. This fun-filled day had great food, raffle prizes, and a live auction to raise money that will empower the students at Boston’s Cathedral High School with scholarship assistance. Conventures was proud to manage all facets of event production and operations. The only thing we didn’t do is hunt for missing golf balls (ours were on the fairway, obviously).

MLA Stars of the Industry

Fenway Park hosted the Massachusetts Lodging Association as it honored lodging employees for their outstanding accomplishments on Tuesday, June 11. This was our first year managing registration and guest arrival protocol for its Stars of the Industry annual event. We were thrilled to help the event start on time and welcome guests to this marquee event.

Boston Harbor Now’s Spectacle on Spectacle

The sunset at Spectacle Island was a sight to see on June 12 as people gathered to experience Boston Harbor Now’s largest annual fundraiser, Spectacle on Spectacle. The event celebrates Boston’s harbor, islands, and waterfront and was filled with delicious food, drinks, local musicians, and a round-trip harbor cruise to cap off this one-of-a-kind event!

Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center Community Fair

On June 22, we deepened our relationship with the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center as it celebrated its tenth Quincy’s Family Fun Fair! With a watermelon-eating contest, face painting, and musical performances, the event brought together the whole community.

Brewer Fountain Kickoff

The Brewer Fountain Summer Concert Series kickoff performance took place on June 25 in collaboration with Friends of the Public Garden. With live music from the Orchid Reed Band, free food, and amazing weather, the kickoff event could not have been better. As those passing by stopped to listen to the band and grab something from the food trucks, the park was filled with cheer and lively visitors. We are excited to watch this series of events continue into July and August!
