This month, we’re highlighting The Newbury Hotel, a beloved and historic landmark that sits right between the idyllic Back Bay and Beacon Hill neighborhoods. Known as one of the original Ritz Carlton hotels, they opened their doors nearly 100 years ago and we were introduced to The Newbury in 2018 under Highgate Hotels. After a stunning transformation, The Newbury blends century-old glamour with modern sophistication while proudly donning the local nickname of the “Old Ritz.”
With thoughtful design and great customer service, we’ve enjoyed hosting events within its walls, and keep it high on our recommendation list when out-of-towners are looking for tips. Also, with some of Boston’s best Italian food located up on the roof (Contessa), guests can eat in style, too.
The Newbury Hotel’s eight venue spaces house more than 16,000 square feet for meetings and events and can host up to 400 attendees. With Newbury Street out one window, and the Public Garden out the other, there are few hotels with a better location. Among the list of exceptional amenities, guests can arrive with ease, valet their cars, and step into this timeless and beautiful property while being nestled in the heart of the city.
